Tim Webb was born in 1955, qualified from the University of Birmingham Medical School in 1977 and has been a Consultant in Adult Psychiatry since 1987.  He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, served on its General Psychiatry Executive for eight years and then became Medical Director of his NHS Trust for seven years.

Since 1990 he has specialised in out-patient psychiatry and mental disorder as it presents in Primary Care.  His expertise is in the management of depression, anxiety and the other common mental disorders; including post-traumatic stress, the interface of pain, disability and mental disorder; and mental disturbance after trauma or head injury.

He has assessed over 2500 claimants, mostly in Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence cases. 

Since 2015 he has been based in Bristol, with an office next to Bristol Temple Meads station.  He also carries out regular visits to Devon & Cornwall, where he holds clinics in the centre of Exeter, on the waterfront in Plymouth and at a clinic in Penzance.  He also carries out some assessments in Cardiff and London on an ad hoc basis. 

He aims to keep waiting lists down to 12 weeks maximum with sooner appointments for case reviews.
