MSS Medicolegal is a company providing an independent psychiatric medicolegal opinion services.
Personal information that may be disclosed to MSS Medicolegal may include information in relation to: name, address, date of birth.
In addition, personal information relating to the injury/medical issue(s) suffered by an individual may also be disclosed to us. Any personal information disclosed to us will be used in the management of the relevant individual’s claim and will be disclosed to a third party as instructed such as the medical expert(s) instructed in the case.
MSS Medicolegal will only ask for information relating to relevant individual’s claim/query.
MSS Medicolegal will keep all personal information confidential and will take suitable steps to protect personal information held against loss or theft.
The personal data held by us will be held on our IT EU based cloud storage and will not be transferred to other countries.
No third parties will have access to personal information held by MSS Medicolegal unless required to do so as part of an individual’s claim/query.
We are required under the UK law to keep information for a minimum of 7 years or the conclusion of a case, at which time the information we hold, both paper and electronic, will be destroyed.
In some instances we are required to keep information indefinitely, if for example ordered by the court, but if this is the case we will inform you.
You can ask us to amend the personal information we hold for you at any time you become aware that the information is incorrect.
