Dr Pannu has over 20 years’ experience across inpatient, PICU, low secure and community mental health services. He is an Approved Clinician and Section 12 Approved under the Mental Health Act 1983, with extensive experience of detention, treatment decisions and capacity assessments. He has written over 100 reports for Mental Health Tribunals and Managers’ Hearings and regularly provides oral evidence.
He has written over 100 reports for Mental Health Review Tribunals and Managers Hearings, presenting at the same.
Until 2024, he held Board-level executive responsibility within an NHS mental health trust, with statutory oversight of clinical governance, safety and standards of care across the organisation. He has complete Bond Solon training in expert report writing (CPR Part 35).
