    Dr Jacqueline Scott

    Dr Scott is a consultant general adult psychiatrist in a busy community and in-patient post. She has worked in a broad range of specialities including general adult, child and adolescent psychiatry and learning disability. She has worked with the Mental Welfare Commission gaining experience with developing guidelines for best practice, assessment of patient care and investigating complaints. Her current post is as a General Adult Psychiatrist where she has been based for 11 years and since 2017 has also been a Clinical Director.

    • Psychiatrists biography

      Dr Scott qualified in 1997 from the University of Aberdeen initially training in general practice. She became a member of The Royal College of Psychiatrists’ in 2005 having worked both in the UK and New Zealand.

      Her special interests are clinical negligence, including desktop reports and has undertaken root cause analysis training and a number of adverse reviews.

      Dr Scott has undertaken medicolegal courses with The Royal College of Psychiatrists’ and Bond Solon and is up to date with CPD.  All reports are CPR compliant.

      In her spare time, Dr Scott enjoys running (albeit at a snail’s pace!), playing the piano and travelling – particularly Portugal.  With an aim to one day retire to Portugal, she has been unsuccessful learning the language for over seven years!

      Clinics:
      Dr Scott runs clinics in Liverpool, Newcastle, Manchester, Bristol, London and Peterborough. She is also able to travel throughout the UK. Reports are typically provided 2-3 weeks after an assessment.
