    • Psychiatrists biography

Dr Slinn trained in medicine at St Bartholomew’s Hospital Medical College in London.

She has completed training in expert witness work by obtaining the Cardiff University Bond Solon Expert Witness Certificate.

Dr Slinn has extensive experience of preparing reports in the cases of:

      • Personal injury,
      • Medical negligence,
      • Employment tribunals,
      • Reports for fitness to practice in professional bodies,
      • Mental health tribunals.

Dr Slinn can normally see patients in 2-4 weeks and the report is delivered in 2 weeks thereafter.

Dr Slinn has received very favourable feedback from colleagues in the legal profession as below.

“I give a lot of training to experts and they tell me lawyers are very poor at giving feedback, which is true. Your report strikes me as excellent, carefully reasoned and clear. I like the way you set out possible alternative diagnoses and why you reject them, which is exactly the right way to do it.”

“a) Followed the instructions and helpfully sought clarification where it was needed. The importance of this cannot be underestimated as it prevents the risk of a report that goes outside the instructions or does not meet them.

      b) The report was clear, and easily digestible, and well written. It clearly identified what was professional opinion; what was explanation of the legal/medical parameters and also was clear in identifying where there was disagreement with the other party’s expert and giving the reasons for this.

      c) Dr Slinn was approachable, met all deadlines and responded promptly to emails.

We were very happy with the expert identified by UKIM and felt that the overall quality of the work was excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend this expert as the basis of the report that we received.”
